SRM User Guide: Site Recovery Manager Advanced Options
SRM does offer some advanced settings to control tagging. It is generally advisable to not change any of these values unless necessary. Below are some settings that are generally related to FlashArray SRA operations. For a full list and description refer to VMware official documentation:
Setting Name | Description and Default Value |
storage.enableSdrsStandardTagCategoryCreation |
Enable this flag to allow Site Recovery Manager to automatically create static tag categories and replicated tag needed for Storage DRS compatibility. The default value is true. |
storage.enableSdrsTagging |
Enable this flag to allow Site Recovery Manager to automatically create and attach tags on replicated or protected datastores for Storage DRS compatibility. Disabling this flag deletes all dynamic consistency group and protection group tags and breaks Storage DRS compatibility. Enabling this flag after disabling it requires a server restart to take effect. The default value is true. |
storage.enableSdrsTaggingRepair |
Enable this flag to allow Site Recovery Manager to repair missing or unwanted tags on replicated or protected datastores for Storage DRS compatibility. The default value is true. |
storage.sdrsTaggingPollInterval |
Periodic interval Site Recovery Manager uses to identify any missing statically or dynamically created tags and statically created tag categories. The default value is 50 seconds. |
storage.commandTimeout |
The timeout for running SRA commands in ABR-related workflows. In some cases, such as surfacing LUNs and snapshots, some arrays take longer than the default time to respond. Modify this option in the Site Recovery user interface. On the Site Recovery home tab, select a site pair and click View Details. In the left pane, select Configure > Advanced Settings > Storage. The default value is 300 seconds. |
storage.storagePingInterval |
Change the interval between storage array discovery checks. The default value is 86400 seconds (24 hours). |
storageProvider.fixRecoveredDatastoreNames |
Force removal, upon successful completion of a recovery, of the snap-xx prefix applied to recovered datastore names. The default value is false. |
